Re: run Clouds Mask using SDRs as its input

The DMS root directory is based on the INFTK_DM_ROOT environment variable (the same one used by the Chain Runner to find your inputs). I believe the DMS scripts will throw that error if one of the directories in the INFTK_DM_ROOT does not exist. Check what your INFTK_DM_ROOT is set to and make sure ...

Re: ADL4.1 unpack error

Hi Lucy, This is a known issue with using ADL with version 1.8.7 of the HDF COTS. ADL 4.1 was tested with and supports HDF 1.8.6 and this error does not seem to occur with that version. We are unfortunately unable to get access to a version of 1.8.7 to test with. Scott Mindock of UW has created a pa...

Re: error with endianconverter

Glad you found a work around. Here's how to convert them with the AdlFileEndianConverter, just in case you're still curious Unfortunately, the "Placeholder" group names will not work. If you come across such a group name, your best bet is to grep the Algorithm config files in $ADL_HOME/cfg...

Re: error with endianconverter

Product profile XML can be found in $ADL_HOME/xml. Files are organized in directories based on Sensor and are named based on Collection Short Name, except with underscores "_" instead of dashes "-".

The file you want in this case is $ADL_HOME/xml/VIIRS/VIIRS_MOD_GEO_TC.xml

Re: error with endianconverter

The group name for the VIIRS-MOD-GEO-TC product is "Geolocation_Mod_DEG_TC", not "VIIRS_MOD_GEO_TC". You can find the proper group name for a product is specified by <ProductGroupName> in product profile XML. So in this case, I believe the following command should work: $ADL_HOME...

Re: GMTCO errors with SDR and VCM anc granulation

I'm guessing what's going on here is that you are trying to run operational data that was produced using the Mx6.3 baseline using ADL 4.0, which does not include the Mx6.3 changes. There was a change made to the VIIRS RDRs which affected the VIIRS GEO products in Mx6.3 that resulted in a change in t...

Re: ADL 4.0 Ingest NCEP grib data

The runMsd.pl script should handle .grib files. You should just need to put the .grib files in the ADL Landing Zone (the ANC directory I believe) and it should do the necessary conversions. Looking at your log, it seems to be unable to find the matching NCEP file that it needs: DMS query start: Sear...

Re: ADL 4.0 Ingest NCEP grib data

Hey Rich. I'm not familiar with the scripts you mentioned using (DynAncConverter.pl and NCEPtoBlob.py) or the exact contents of the grib data that is hosted by UW. Looking at what's there and conferring with some others here at Raytheon, I think the data there should work if properly Ingested. I'd s...

Re: CrIS SDR under ADL 4.0

Hi Rich. Took a look at your log file. Seems like the problem is that your TLE file is too old compared to the granule you're trying to run: 2012/10/04 16:03:52.471.825 (17641.47360914493792): DBG_HIGH ProSdrCmnGeo.cpp|6731|ProSdrCmnGeo::sgp4_predEA: Cmn Geo Anomaly ERROR: The difference between the...

Re: Outpath of ADL_Unpacker

Hi Nima, I'd suggest adding this to your envSetup.ksh, if it's not there already: export ADL_MSD_LZ_PATH=${ADL_HOME}/data/MSD_LZ As Kevin said above, this is included in the file that's delivered from Raytheon, but appears to have been removed in the Virtual Appliance. It looks like what you added m...
