Re: JPSS VIIRS EDR data processing for one band
Hello Margad, There are programs that can read and write data files and save them as different formats. For example, the gdal command gdal_tranlsate can do this. You can find this and other utilities at https://gdal.org. The next release of Polar2Grid (Version 3.1) will support VIIRS Land Surface Re...

Re: GeoDB OISST data
Hello, The short answer then is that there is no convenient way to get older ancillary data from from geodb website. Some of the GEOCAT ancillary datasets are standard, and some are unique to the product. For example, the snow_map product is one that was created from other ancillary specifically in ...

Re: JPSS VIIRS EDR data processing for one band
Hello again Margad, > 1. Could you please advise on the process of obtaining Surface Reflectance (Bottom of Atmosphere reflectance) from SDR data? The SDRs do not contain surface reflectances. They contain observed radiances at the satellite sensor above the atmosphere, which are then also converted...

ABI 500m grid parameters
It has come to my attention that the last 2 parameters listed for the ABI 500m grid are off by 1/2 the width of a pixel, i.e., 250m. The config file lists the following values:
-5434894.885056, 5434894.885056
I believe these values should instead be:
-5434644.885056, 5434644.885056
-5434894.885056, 5434894.885056
I believe these values should instead be:
-5434644.885056, 5434644.885056
