I have downloaded the latest version of ADL_4_2_IDPS_5_8_science_appliance and was able to run RSBAutoCal.
The software version string is now: I1.5_ADL_4.2.1_Mx8.0.

I have downloaded the ADL_4_2_IDPS_5_8_science_appliance Virtual Appliance from the SSEC ADL website (https://jpss-adl-wiki.ssec.wisc.edu/mediawiki/index.php/Downloads).
Is the ADL in ADL_4_2_IDPS_5_8_science_appliance based on Mx8.0? In the ADL/SDR/VIIRS directory, there is still the SolarDiffuser ...
