Can you provide me with a little more information please? I am not familiar with Basemap. Is it GIS software?
Are interested in display the native AIRS L1B radiances, or Level 2 retrieval products?

Dear Sir, The DBSSERVE part of DBCRAS has to do with the creation of the images. When DSSERVE adds an entry, it: Locks the file RESOLV.SRV Reads it Deletes it Rewrites it Closes file [which unlocks it] If DSSERVE is hanging, it might be due to another DSSERVE running or some other process has a lock...

When using DBVM, the scrub script defaults to the directory $DBVM_HOME/data, where I think it should just be $DATA_DIR.
