Horizontal lines on the L1b image terra

Post by eborovenskiy »

Hello. Can you help me. I'm processing image from satellite terra. On the image t1.12351.1928.1000m.hdf(this is a night image) i see horizontal lines in 31 channel(see attachment). Each 10 line is black, for some images 9 and 10 lines. On the .PDS file all is ok.
For satellite aqua all is ok. What could be the reason?

Thank you for your reply.
I asked this question on the forum oceancolor ( http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/o ... s#pid20446 ). I was told that the cause of these lines in the absence of interpolation in the new version of the program's modisl1db.
----------------------------

If you begin to use the Collection 6 version of the Level 1 software, it will no longer interpolate across inoperable detectors. This affected in particular Terra Band 29, detector 6 and Aqua Band 36, detector 5. If you implement the IMAPP thermal destriping software, it will perform a replacement of the band detector based upon a reference "good" detector identified for each band.
