Hello Taiwo,

I am really sorry to say that I accidentally deleted the data that you posted for me. Can you please repost it to our anonymous ftp site:

ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/incoming/

I will download, investigate and respond back to you by the end of the week. I apologize for how long it has taken us to help you.

Hello Taiwo,

I downloaded your data, and here is what I found:

I was able to process your PDS file: P0420064AAAAAAAAAAAAAA17004091805001.PDS

with no problems. I created an image of your scene (see attachment). I started with a fresh dbvm version 2.0 installation.

I was not able to process the P1540064AAAAAAAAAAAAAA17006120707001.PDS because the GBAD P1540957A*.PDS file, which is required to process Aqua data, was not included.

What version of the dbvm are your running? Can you attach the log file *PDS.modis.level1.log from one of the modis passes that failed?

Thank you, Kathy

Dear Kathy,
Good day to you. I tried to process the Terra PDS file this morning in order to generate the log and to my utmost surprise it worked. I have attached a sample jpeg for your view. I want to believe that the internet connectivity was better and faster today. I have loaded recent terra PDS file to see how it goes.

The dbvm is IMAPP Virtual Machine 2.0 and noticed that most processing files (seadas, modisl1db, etc) are obsolete. Kindly tell me how to run an update.

Also with regards to the Aqua Data, should I send you the log files

Once again thank for your usual assistance

God bless

Taiwo

Hello Again Taiwo,

Yes, The modisl1db and seadas packages included with the DBVM are older, but we hesitate to update right now as there have been some problems with newer versions of the software. We are working on the release of a new DBVM that will include updates of all of the available software. We expect to release that prior to the end of our funding sequence in June.

I will look for your Aqua PDS files to be posted.

If you do have more passes that fail in the future, please feel free to send me the log files, and I will try to help.

Cheers,

Kathy

Hi again Taiwo,

There are a number of reasons why you cannot use the IMAPP DBVM with modisl1db version 1.8 . We are working on a new release of the the DBVM that will include updates to all of the software. We expect that to be ready in about 2 months time.

Sorry,

Kathy
