ADL 2.0 released

Post by gumley »

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the JPSS Data Products Engineering Group, SSEC is pleased to announce the availability of the Algorithm Development Library (ADL) version 2.0 for immediate download. Before you proceed to the download site listed below, please take a moment to read the following note from Richard Cember regarding appropriate access to ADL.

---
Dear ADL Users:

ADL is considered to be part of the IDPS, and indeed the ADL distribution contains IDPS operational algorithm code. It is our (DPE's) hope and expectation that ADL will, like the full suite of IDPS operational algorithm codes themselves, ultimately be made available to the general public. However, at the present time public release of the IDPS operational algorithm code has NOT yet occurred, and therefore public release of ADL also has NOT yet occurred. Distribution of ADL is therefore intended to be limited at the present time to those persons who are considered to have appropriate access to IDPS operational code.

The ADL distribution package is now available for anonymous FTP download, however we do not plan to advertise it yet for public consumption. In the future, we will change to a password protected site for ADL distribution. However for the moment we will provide anonymous FTP access to enable you all to obtain the package as soon as possible. To download the complete ADL 2.0 package, please go to

ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/jpss/ADL_2.0/

Regards,
Liam.

Post by gumley »

Dear ADL Users,

The ADL distribution package formerly hosted at

ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/jpss/ADL_2.0/

has been moved to a password protected website at

http://jpss.ssec.wisc.edu/

Please contact me if you need the username and password. If you have any problems installing or building ADL 2.0, please send email to

Scott Mindock <Scott.Mindock@ssec.wisc.edu>

who will work with the ADL team here at UW and the ADL developers at Raytheon to help solve the problem.

Regards,
Liam.
