CSPP Software Update: Patch for CSPP SDR Version 2.2

Post by kathys »

A patch has been developed for users of the Community Satellite Processing Package (CSPP) Suomi-NPP SDR Version 2.2 software.

This update is distributed as a patch rather than a full software release, therefore users must first install SDR 2.2, then install the SDR 2.2 patch. The patch includes the following changes:
  • Corrected a bug which caused the ATMS orbit number to always be 00001.
  • Corrected a bug in the CrIS SDR software which did not allow users to correctly set the JPSS_REMOTE_ANC_DIR environment variable for that instrument.
  • Fixed a problem in calculating the orbit number for VIIRS, CrIS and ATMS passes that span the equator.
The CSPP V2.2 SDR software and the V2.2.3 Patch are available for download from the CSPP website:

http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/cspp/

or follow these instructions to install the patch on top of your current CSPP SDR V2.2 installation.

download the patch (40 KB)
wget ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/CSPP/v_2_2_ ... tch.tar.gz

This tar file should be unpacked over your current SDR_2_2 installation, for example:

cd ${HOME}/CSPP
tar xf ../CSPP_SDR_V2.2.3_patch.tar.gz
