NOAA 20 only partly give visual channels

Post by trygveas »

Hi

Using CSPP 3.0 I see now that for NOAA 20 it partly gives empty visual channels.

As an example here is the output of todays pass over Northern Europe starting around 1011UTC for channel I01:

Channel I02, I03, M01, M02, M03, M04, M05, M06 and M09 gives similar results. That is the first 6 segments are filled with data, the last( most northern) 4 is filled with some empty data.
Winter is coming, but still there is enough sunlight to light up these parts of the world.

I dont have the logs for this processing, but could do a reprocessing if this is needed.

Is this something you have seen before?

Hi again

I ran a test on the same RDR and got the same result again.

As the run is successfull there are no logs. I have captured to out put from the run.

I can provide you the RDR I use, but its 600MB. Should upload it here? Or use like filebin?

If you run the SDR with the -d option the log file will not be deleted.
You can put some RDRs on our server ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/incoming

Send me an email to let me know when you pushed them. scott.mindock@ssec.wisc.edu

I think you are just seeing differences in behavior by ADL.
