Version 0.4.3 of the GRB software package is now available for download (see the link below). The major changes included in this release are:
- Added a temporary workaround for a known GRB data issue where ABI metadata arrives out of order, resulting in missing data in the lower right corner of ABI images.
- Changes to the internal interface between the ingestor and reconstructor components. This fixes the premature file-closing issue that affected the previous release.
Note that the second change affects the alternate "command-line" mode interface that is described in the ICD. If there are any users who are running in "command-line" mode (instead of "streaming mode" where the software runs as a server), please contact us for details about the interface change.
For a more detailed description of the changes in this release, refer to the RELEASE_NOTES file included in the package.
This software is being provided to users as an interim "dev snapshot" release in advance of the next major release, meaning that it has not been tested as rigorously as a major release and is being provided "as-is". Our primary motivation for releasing this software is to give users a way to run end-to-end tests of their GRB receiving and processing systems, running on real data from the GRB stream.
There is no updated installation guide or test data package for this release. Users should refer to the README in the package and the v0.4 Installation Guide for information on installing and running the software.
