GRB ingestor streaming problem

Post by whao »

Hi colleagues,

We just tried to ingest some data from a GOES-R simulator through baseband(Ethernet) connectivity using the cspp-rt-grb.sh script. After we generated some simulation data from the simulator, we did see some UDP diagram recved by watching the log file of the ingestor. However, we did not find any packet bundle in the ${CSPP_GEO_RTCSPP_OUT} directory and nothing in the ${CSPP_GEO_GRBR_OUT} also.

Do you have any clue what happened maybe?

Thanks,

Hello,

Can you let us know what version of CSPP Geo GRB you are running? Also, would you send us your scenario file from the GOES-R simulator? We would like to rule out that as a possible cause of the missing CCSDS packet bundles.

I also want to note that once you start generating CCSDS files, there still might be a chance that you will not get NetCDF output. In our development, we found differences between the format described in the GOES-R Product Definition and User's Guide (PUG) and the output we received from the simulator, and we decided to code our software to match the PUG. We've tested our software against the GRB data from the GOES-R Ground System Data Operation Exercises (such as DOE-1/2 included in CSPP Geo GRB v0.3).

If you have any problems posting files to this forum, feel free to post them on our anonymous ftp site: ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/incoming

If you have any more questions, please let us know.

Thanks,

~Jess
