Dear Helpdesk,
I might be mistaken, but I remember there are some warning words in the ADL 2.0 saying that 'ignore any software udpates warnings'. Is it still true for ADL 3.0? I need to update my Java RE to make the VPN software compatible with the Virtual Appliance environment, but I really do not want to mess it up and reinstall everything from scratch. Any kind commends and guidance are greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Jingfeng
Any precautions for software updates in the VA environment?
Re: Any precautions for software updates in the VA environme
Hello,
I don't have any experience with the Virtual Appliance, so it'd be best to have someone from the University of Wisconsin answer this (since they are the distributor of the Virtual Appliance). I have sent them an email alerting them to this post.
Java is used for the XML Editor and the Binary Editor. It's not used to run the actual algorithm.
Sorry I'm not able to give you a good answer.
