Is it possible to use level 1 gridded Himawari-8 data as input to GEOCAT?

We know that you sent us this email too:

I have question about processing Himawari data using your software. I am
currently doing research and I plan to utilize himawari8 satellite data. I have
downloaded your software geocat. Unfortunately my data is in gridded format,
geocorrected with 2 bytes unsigned short data type without header and footer. I
have also calibrated the DN and converted it to reflectance or brightness
temperature.

Is it possible to use your software with those data as input? If yes, could you
please help me with advice?

The GEOCAT software only supports the Himawari Standard Data (HSD) format as input. It does not support the gridded inputs that you describe.
