Version 1.0.28 of the CSPP Geo GRB software package is now available for download. The GRB software is capable of processing the GOES Rebroadcast (GRB) data stream as received from GOES-East and GOES-West, and generating products from all instruments in real-time.
The following changes are included in this version:
- Updates to bundled software libraries as required by NOAA users
- Rocky 8 and Rocky 9 operating systems are now explicitly supported
Applying this patch is not considered urgent and it's left to the user to decide when and whether to update their software. It should be noted this patch does not address any security vulnerabilities known to affect the GRB software; however, applying the patch may result in fewer hits in security scans on users' systems due to the updated libraries.
This software update is released as a cumulative patch that can be applied to any installation in the 1.0 series.
Note that for the first time, applying this update requires running an installation script.
