2025 CSPP User's Group Meeting: Please register!

Post by kathys »

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to encourage you to register for the 2025 CSPP Users’ Group Meeting, which will be held in beautiful Guam this coming April! The deadline for abstract submissions has been extended to December 13, and we still have space for oral presentations. You are also very welcome to register and attend the meeting without presenting a talk. We will share a draft program by the end of December.

The meeting will be a great opportunity to share your experiences and hear from some of the leading experts in our field. The CSPP LEO and Geo software suites are all about community and we truly value your feedback and participation. While we know that Guam is a long trip for many, we believe the chance to connect with your peers in the Direct Broadcast community will be incredibly rewarding. Please join us as we review the latest advancements in our field and plan for upcoming challenges, such as the retirement of legacy satellite systems (e.g., POES, EOS) and the introduction of new systems (e.g., Metop-SG, GeoXO).

In addition to the presentations, we have an exciting session planned on ‘Advanced Techniques for Direct Broadcast Data Processing’ which will cover:

• Tips and tricks for creating imagery with Polar2Grid and Geo2Grid
• Running DB software packages (CSPP, AAPP, FY3DB) in container-based environments
• Adapting IPOPP-based DB processing workflows to CSPP
• Optimizing DB processing hardware and workflows

We will also host an ‘Ask the Experts’ session, where you can get answers to all your questions about DB processing, products, software, sensors, and satellites. If our experts don’t know the answer, they will find someone who does!

You can register at https://www.ssec.wisc.edu/meetings/cspp/2025-meeting/

We look forward to seeing you in Guam!

Kind regards,
Liam Gumley
CSPP LEO Project Manager, on behalf of the entire CSPP team
