We are glad that the SDR 4.0 is working for you now.
I can provide CSPP archived software for you, but we do not have a DBVM type of package available for JPSS satellite instruments.
The VIIRS EDR 2.0 software algorithms have been replaced with the EDR software that is available on the CSPP download page. We have bundled the CSPP ASCI software in support of VIIRS Cloud, Cryosphere, Volcano, Snow and Aerosols EDRs.
I hope this is helpful,
Kathy
SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Are any recommended tools for converting SDR products *.h5 format to *.nc format like ASCI/APSCO products?
We saw that NASA/NOAA products still use IPOPP maybe for *.nc products (https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/ ... /2024/269/)
We need SDR products to convert to *.nc for our researcher needed.

Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Hello Majid,
NASA does not use IPOPP to generate VIIRS Level 1 products.
NASA uses its own version of geolocation and calibration software for VIIRS, CrIS, ATMS< and OMPS. The software and products are known as "NASA Level 1". The VIIRS Level 1 software can be obtained as part of SeaDAS:
https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/
This software can be used to process VIIRS data received via direct broadcast if your receiving system is configured to create VIIRS Level 0 PDS files.
The VIIRS Level 1 products can be obtained from LAADS or LANCE:
https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/ ... 1/VJ102MOD
https://nrt3.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/arc ... 02MOD_NRT/
There is no software utility available for converting NOAA VIIRS SDR HDF5 products to NASA VIIRS Level 1 netCDF products.
Regards,
Liam.

Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
okay thanks for your information.
Could we get EDRv2 Software https://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/cspp/viirs_edr_v2.0.shtml and manual?

Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Hello Majid,
The VIIRS EDR Version 2.0 software that you are requesting has been replaced by the VIIRS EDR enterprise software packages that can be found on the CSPP download page. The EDR V2.0 software was originally released in 2014; those algorithms have been improved and replaced.

Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Dear Kathy
We have a problem with L1 processing on DBVM v3. We want to open posts in the IMAPP menu, but we can't.
The problem is when update_modisl1db. bash run, the log appears like this:

Re: SDR 3.1 Failed Processing
Hello Nurmajid Setyasaputra,
The IMAPP DBVM Version 3.0 software is very old now. It was released in 2017. We have since released a new version of the IMAPP MODIS Level 1 software that I suggest you consider using.
https://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/imapp/modis ... v1.0.shtml
I have looked over the log files from the update_modisl1db.bash script that you are running. It looks like a problem connecting to the NASA ocean color website where the LUT files are stored. I just ran that command myself, and it worked. Have you tried running it again? Did this prevent your MODIS Level 1 software from executing? This might have just been a temporary problem reaching the website.
