Hi colegas,

I use CSPP_SDR_V1.5 for viirs processing, but i not have old LUTs before august 2013 year.

http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/LUTS_V_1_5/ not contane old LUTs files.

Can i use LUTs file out of http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/LUTS_V_1_3/ or http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/LUTS/ ?

Where i can take old LUTs files?

Thenks.

Hello,

CSPP SDR software V1.5 does not have a way to use the current release of the software to create output products for archived data that is that old. To process that data, you would have to use either CSPP SDR v1.3 or V1.4 software which would use the LUTs from the http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/LUTS_V_1_3/ site or earlier versions of CSPP SDR software that will use the LUTs from the http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/LUTS/ website depending on the actual date of your data set.

Since CSPP was designed for the direct broadcast community, there was not a requirement to support reprocessing of data; however, we do intend to support both direct broadcast and those who wish to process archived data sets in the future.

Cheers, Kathy

Hello,

We are attempting to maintain a whole-of-mission Australasian archive of VIIRS SDRs, which we are basing on RDRs (since we only have to download them once) and processing locally with CSPP. We expected that we could reprocess as required when the historical calibration LUTs were updated, but in the light of your final comment: that CSPP is intended for the direct broadcast community rather than the reprocessing community, it seems like this might not be a sound approach?

Are you aware of any other processing pathway for archival data in the interim? We looked at IPOPP C-SDR_SPA but that looks even more geared to direct broadcast.

Certainly support for historical reprocessing within contemporary CSPP releases would be a most welcome feature when it comes.

Thanks, Edward.

Hello Edward,

We are working on finding the best way to allow historical S-NPP data processing through CSPP. It is something that we, as a user, would also like to do. We have not found any easy solutions as of yet, but we do want to support this feature in the future.
