Unfortunately, no. I did talk to the Raytheon guys about extended granule mode and RSBAutoCal at the ADL 5 workshop, and this is not something that would work well for RSBAutoCal; extended granule mode is really targetted at algorithms that need a pre-determined, fixed number of scans before or after the granule. For RSBAutoCal, that number cannot be predetermined and is not fixed, other than setting it to the entire granule width, which would eliminate any value in using extended granules.
